Steve with The Duchess
Steve had wanted to drive across The Nullarbor Plain in Australia ever since he was a lad, so he decided to do just that in The Duchess in November 2022.
Probably not most people's first choice of vehicle for such a trip, the vintage Vauxhall made it a grand adventure.
Australia has a vibrant vintage and classic car scene and Steve loves the friendly attitude of drivers there. So, after thorough preparation by Crank Start Engineering (a vintage Vauxhall specialist in NE Victoria), Steve began his 4500km journey in one of only 30 remaining examples of this great old British sports car.
